Virtual Reality Being Used To Train Indigenous Students

An Indigenous training company has launched a travelling Virtual Reality tool promoting the trades industry.

Paul Giles is with Origin and he says the machine helps students see what the actual job site is like.

He says it allows students to gain first hand experience in various sectors including underground mines and in the hydro sector as a pole line apprentice.

Giles notes they are now working on a series of health and safety modules for forestry and health care.

In the future, students will be able to interact in the VR job site to see if they are actually good at the job.
