Volunteers Come Forward; Smoke Concerns

Some regional support for northern Saskatchewan.

The local Canadian Red Cross office now confirms they have had some volunteer response to a call for help in the evacuation of thousands of residents due to forest fires.

Shana Hansson says they hope to have those individuals out shortly.

The Red Cross has been asking for two week commitments as they try to accommodate those displaced from their homes.

Meantime, an Air Quality Advisory has been issued in the northwest part of the region due to smoke drifting in from the fires.
