A group of six metis nation youth are canoeing their way
to Batoche, Saskatchewan for the Back to Batoche
Celebrations.
Glen Lepinsky is with the Metis Nation of Ontario and
says the trip is extremely important and significant to the
youth.

Lepinsky adds so far the group have faced rough waters,
and bad weather, and hope to see calm water after their out
of the region.
The modern day voyageurs will arrive at the Kenora
Harbourfront on Friday at noon.
