The Wabigoon Volunteer Fire Department is experiencing a period of growth.
Fire Prevention Officer Richard Wetelainen says they are starting to show signs of expansion.
Wetelainen says Chief Williams has some new recruits, one who is a registered nurse.
He says the department is also working towards securing new equipment and trucks and is confident they will be successful in the next year or so.
Wetelainen notes another positive development is the implementation of on-line training.
