Former NHL’er Theo Fleury says if we put out a message of hope on a daily basis, eventually someone fighting addictions will have the courage and strength to seek out healing and help.
Fleury suffered from a life of destructive behaviour, addictions and abuse and he says the government isn’t doing enough to address the epidemic.
He says the legalization of marijuana is the latest development in the on-going easing of restrictions.
Fleury stresses that the drugs that he was doing are way different then the drugs that are out there now.
He says one pill, one hoot, one sniff; you can now die and people are dying.
Fleury says people aren’t necessarily wanting to die, they are wanting someone to alleviate the pain and suffering that they are going through.
