Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation Starts Vaccination

COVID-19 vaccinations are underway on Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation.

Donna Chief of Waabigonii Zaaga’igan (Wabigoon) is thumbs up as she received her first shot of the Moderna vaccine.

The community held it’s first mass vaccination clinic this week.

Indigenous and Metis adults are listed as priority in Phase 1 of Ontario’s vaccination plan.

Health care workers and those 80 years and older are also included, with more clinics to start next week.
