Wabigoon Man Fined

A 79 year-old Wabigoon man has received a hefty fine after pleading guilty to possessing 24 walleye over the legal limit while fishing on Wabigoon Lake.
Arthur Vansteenkiste has been fined $4,200 and is suspended from fishing for 1 year, while forfeiting his fish and equipment.
He was stopped by an MNR officer back in June and an investigation found the man had fish hidden at two other locations.
Vansteenkiste was also found guilty of providing false information to officers.
