While the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board examines the future of serveral area schools, parents in Wabigoon seem determined to keep their school open.
Although about 100 studetns are currently enrolled, a petition against closing Wabigoon School drew over 550 names.
The petition was presented to the School Board at its regular meeting last week.
The parents group contends the Board has an orchestrated plan to close the school, and say they are determined to keep that from happening.
