Two First Nations sisters are leaving Wabigoon today as part of their ‘Walk for Unity’.
They hope to arrive in Ottawa on June 21st and arrange a meeting with Prime Minister Harper.
Several other walkers have joined them.
The girls are trying to raise awareness of bringing people together and saving the environment.
They also are urging everyone to make a conscious effort to protect our land.
Shady Laplante says they are representing all Canadians and are tired of seeing the destruction of their homes.
The girls started the trip in Saskatoon.
The two are collecting donations along the way to help with gas and food money.
