Walleye Masters Final Results

Two tough days battling the wind paid off in a big way for Enrique Salinas and Stuart Vandervaart – our 2007 Walleye Masters champions!

Here are the unofficial top 5:

1. Team 44 Stuart Vandervaart/Enrique Salinas Day 1: 18.92lbs, Day 2: 11.94lbs, Total 30.86lbs

5. Team 21, Joe Barron/Carissa Lundmark Day 1: 11.74lbs, Day 2: 14.46lbs, Total 26.38lbs

2. Team 72, Bill Harrington/Jeff Storrey, Day 1: 13.16lbs, Day 2: 12.84lbs, Total 26.00lbs

3. Team 10, Dennis Wintle/Travis Wintle Day 1: 18.18lbs, Day 2: 7.74lbs, Total 25.92lbs

4. Team 12, Michael Cortens/Andrew Cortens Day 1: 15.18lbs, Day 2: 9.24lbs, Total 24.42lbs

The big fish? On day one, Dennis and Travis Wintle brought in the big one, weighing it at 7.70lbs. And for a long time today it looked like that weight would hold, until Brad Smith and Keith Kerney hauled up a mammoth walleye weighing in at 9.02lbs! Brad says they caught it in the morning and only thought it was 6 or 7 pounds, so they didn’t rush in with it. (And around here MOST anglers guess the weight the OTHER way!)

Congratulations to all the teams who fought tough winds to take part in the 18th annual Dryden Walleye Masters!
