Walleye Weekend continues to grow in Sioux Lookout.
Another successful tournament is in the books, with 75-teams in competition over the weekend.
Organizer Christine Hoey says the event really has come a long way, noting that about 30 of the boats this year came from out of town
Hoey says they launched Walleye Weekend eleven years ago because Sioux Lookout was missing a June attraction.
She notes at that time they had about 25-boats in the field.
Hoey says the tournament continues to grow in popularity, noting this year they were completely booked by Christmas.
Hoey adds they have a great core of volunteers who have helped make the event bigger and better.
