Most of Northwestern Ontario broke 60 year old records
for the warmest weather in January.
Kenora, Dryden, Red Lake, and Sioux Lookout sat at
temperatures around minus 9 degrees celcius.
Environment Canada Climatoligist Sandy Radecki says
record breaking weather doesn’t come around everyday.

Radecki says because of the milder temperatures, some
areas experienced extra precipitation.
Snowfall amounts in the Kenora area were around 33
centimeters, the normal is 28.
