The Kenora area was blessed with warmer than normal
temperatures during the month of January.
Environment Canada Climatoligist Sandy Radecki says the
mean temperature for the area was around minus 9 degrees
celcius.

Radecki says the normal for the region is between minus
17 and 19.
Kenora, Sioux Lookout, and Red Lake broke their previous
warm weather records of minus 10, which were set in 1944.
Dryden broke it’s five year old record by two degrees.
