This is fraud prevention month and local residents are being reminded to never give out personal information to someone you don’t know.
The latest attempt of ripping someone off was an on-line classified ad.
Someone contacted an individual who was trying to sell skiis, boots and bindings.
The fraudster tried to send a cashiers check and asked for the seller to wire money back.
They also asked for personal information in return.
This is a scam and if you see something similiar you are asked to contact Dryden Police or Provincial Police.
