A split for the Queen Elizabeth Warriors to open a new High School Hockey season Tuesday night.
The Warriors Girls held on to defeat Beaver Brae 3-2.
However, the Broncos posted a 5-2 victory in the Boys game.
In Fort Frances, the Muskies Boys cruised to an 11-1 win over St. Thomas Aquinas, while the Fort Frances Girls escaped with a 6-5 win over the Saints.
