The ice may look safe, but it’s probably not.
That warning issued by the Ontario Provincial Police due to the rapidly
changing ice conditions.
Constable Sue Cain says it’s always best to stick to the marked trails,
but notes even that’s not a guarantee.
Cain says for safety sake, the minimum for walking on ice is
10-centimetres and for snowmobiling its 25 centimetres.
