As promised, water and sewer rates are going up in Dryden.
Council will vote next Monday to raise rates 10%, effective August 1st.
Director of Engineering and Public Works Mike Louttit says the utility has to become self-sufficient.
Louttit says the City is currently sitting with a a $426,000 waterworks deficit, which must be brought down to 0.
The hike was included in the 2009 Municipal Budget.
