Water Levels-Lac Seul Area

Concern in the Ear Falls-Sioux Lookout area.
The Lake of the Woods Control Board says water levels on Lac Seul are rising at a steady rate.
An Ontario Power Generation Plant on Lac Seul montiors the flow of water into nearby lakes including Pelican.
Water Resources Engineer Rick Cousins says levels have risen 10-11 inches since Sunday, however levels at the Lac Seul plant are still a foot and half below maximum capacity.
Cousins adds continued rainfall could pose some problems for camp operators in the area.
Meantime, the level of Lake of the Woods has risen 22-inches this week, and could rise at least another foot before tapering off.
The dramatic rise has quickly ended problems of low water levels on Lake of the Woods and the Winnipeg River.
No cottahes or camp operations have so far been effected.
