Things are getting back to normal in Atikokan, however the township remains under a state of emergency.
Emergency Measures official Bill Bell says the Atikokan river is receding slowly, which has allowed the Township to reopen most roads with the exception of Hancock Boulevard.
All businesses and services have resumed operations, however about 30-families still remain evacuated.
Bell says when the time comes to lift the evacuation notice, residents will have to pass an electrical inspection.
As well, the township is offering a number of services for flood victims.
The municipal landfill site will be open from 10am to 8pm until Monday, and there will be no charge for flood damaged material.
Bell says volunteer groups and local agencies are also available to assist in cleanup efforts.
Residents are asked to contact the Township office.
