Water Quality At Schools

The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board says it is meeting tough, new water quality standards passed by the provincial government.
Operations Manager Dan McNeil admits there have been problems identified at three schools.
McNeil says minor contaminants have been identified at Barclay, Eagle River and Sioux Narrows Schools.
However, he adds students and staff have been advised of the situation.
New provincial regulations require school boards to conduct extensive testing for schools which have their own water supplies.
