Water Testing #1

The Northwestern Health Unit is welcoming the Province

to take on new rules for testing small private water

systems.

NWHU Spokesperson Bill Limerick says the consewuences of

not adopting the controversial rules outweigh any financial

or time restraint issues.

The draft regulations would affect over 700 tourist

camps. community halls, and churches with private water

systems in the region.

Limerick adds if they are accepted it would mean the NWHU

would need to hire more employees to be able to check the

many systems in the area.
