Weather Turning in Firefighters Favour

Favourable weather for the next 3 to 5 days continues to help firefighting efforts.
Ministry of Natural Resources Information Officer Owen Vaughan says they have been able to get back out on fire lines and target hot spots.
Vaughan says they still need a lot more rain in the Far North to gain the upper hand on several massive forest fires.
There are still over 117-forest fires burning in Northwestern Ontario.
The fires have resulted in the total evacuation of 4-First Nation communities and partial evacuation of 7-others.
Vaughan says they are thankful for the support of local communities who are housing evacuees.
