It turned out to be a busy weekend for Ministry of Natural Resources fire crews in northwestern Ontario.
There were 11 new forest fires reported yesterday, with over a half in the Kenora District.
Fire Information officer Travis Moffatt says all the fires were caused by lightning.

Moffatt says with more warm weather forecast in the next few days they are anticipating more lightning caused fires across the region.
