It was a 4-point weekend for the Dryden Ice Dogs in White River.
The Ice Dogs kicked things off with a 6-3 win over Marathon on Friday
evening.
Jared Kissick led the way with 3-goals in the opening period, while
Graheme Harrington made 36 saves for the victory.
On Saturday, Dryden upended Marathon 7-4.
Cody Jeffries and Chris Kitt each scored a pair of goals while Travis
Kamm stopped 34 shots for the victory.
In other local hockey action.
The Dryden Eagles and Beaver Brae Broncos skated to a 1-1 tie Friday
in Girls High School hockey.
Sarah Carter scored the lone Eagles goal.
Dryden finished with an 0-1-2 record at the John Taylor Boys High
School tournament in Winnipeg.
In Sioux Lookout, Dryden JAFT blanked the Sioux Snipers 5-0 to capture
the Second Annual Women’s Hockey Tournament.
On the Basketball court, the Dryden Eagles finished second in the
consolation final at the Junior Boys High School tournament in Kenora.
