West Nile Audio #2

As the west nile season comes to a close, the

Northwestern Health Unit has found it’s first case of

infected mosquitoes.

Environmental Health Officer Al Mathers says it was

inevitable.

A dead crow in Sioux Lookout has tested positive for the

west nile virus, which brings the region’s total of

infected birds to 15.

Mathers adds people should always protect themselves

with mosquitoe repellant.
