West Nile Audio #1

The Northwestern Health Unit has found three west nile

virus positive mosquitoes in the Dryden area.

Environmental Health Officer Al Mathers says it’s the

first documented case of west nile in Mosquitoes in the

Kenora and Rainy River Districts.

Sioux Lookout is the latest community to turn in a dead

crow which has tested positive for the west nile virus.

To date 15 positive birds have been found in the region.
