Northwestern Ontario has its first ever documented case of West Nile
positive mosquitos.
The positive insects were removed from a trap in the Dryden area,
however the Northwestern Health Unit stresses there has still never been a
human case of the virus in humans.
Officials note the risk of becoming seriously ill remains extremely
low.
The Health Unit will continue to monitor mosquito traps in Dryden,
Kenora and Fort Frances.
