West Nile has arrived in Dryden.
The Northwestern Health Unit reports a dead crow collected from the City has tested positive for the Virus, the first such case in Dryden this year.
So far this summer, 3 birds have returned positive results for West Nile in the Region.
The disease is spread by infected mosquitoes and to date none of the insects have been found in the region.
No human cases have been reported.
