West Nile Testing #2

Northwestern Ontario has its first positive case of the

West Nile as one dead crow from Sioux Lookout tested

positive.

The Northwestern Health Unit has been collecting dead

crows and ravens for about a month, and only two have been

turned in.

Environmental Health Officer Al Mathers says they start

their Mosquitoe testing program next week.

Mathers asks the public to take steps to avoid mosquito

bites including covering up and using repellant.
