Intermittent downtime at the Weyerhaeuser Timberstrand Mill in Kenora
takes effect today.
41-employees are out of a job for good and 100-people will be
temporarily laid-off as the Mill will shutdown for several weeks during the
first quarter of the year.
Company Spokesperson Bonny Skene says further downtime may be necessary
during the course of the year.

The plant hopes to start up for 1 week in February and 1 week in
March if there is demand for timberstrand.
