When Is Spring Going To Arrive?

Don’t expect spring like temperatures anytime soon.
At the Northwest Response Forum in Dryden, Environment Canada Meteorologist Geoff Coulson highlighted recent weather events and what to expect.
Coulson says temperatures in March and April have been colder then normal, and it looks like it’s going to stay that way for the next two weeks.
He adds next week should be a messy mix of snow and rain, but if it’s colder we will see more white stuff.
The region will start seeing double-digit temperatures somewhere around early May, with the higher numbers in June.
Coulson notes there was more snowfall this past winter, but the temperatures in December and January remained quite normal.
The first major snow storm this winter was in Kenora on October 4th where they got 42.4 cm, the normal being only 11.4 cm.
