The School on Whitedog First Nation, northwest of Kenora, has reopened.
The facility was closed 2-weeks ago because of mold, asbestos and
concers surrounding the air quality.
Repair work, costing roughly $100,000, has been completed
and band councilors are working with the Federal Government to repair the
School’s furnace system and other structural problems
Meanwhile, The Conservative Government has agreed to fund the design work for a
new school.
