It could be two years or more before the Whitefeather Forest Initiative can actually start-up on the Pikangikum First Nation.
The project is currently undergoing an environmental assessment.
Manager of Whitefeather, Paddy Peters sasy Pikangikum is in dire need of jobs, and suggests Whitefeather could create employment for as many as 250 people.
