Whitesand First Nation Moving To Clean Energy

Bio-mass and wood processing facilities are expected to bring jobs to the northern community of Whitesand First Nation .

The community’s Chief says they have received funding to establish a new industrial park.

Allan Gustafson says the facilities will employ 64 full-time and 60 seasonal jobs by 2020.

Gustafson adds the project will also enable the community to stop burning over 1-million litres of diesel fuel each year.
