A tough road trip for the Kenora ‘AAA’ Midget Thistles.
The Thistles spent the weekend in Portage La Prairie for the League Showcase tournament and lost both games they played.
Sunday, the Thistles were downed 5-2 by the top team in the league, the Winnipeg Bruins.
Dryden’s Nathan Kiddie scored for the Thistles, while former Paper King Dylan Winsor added an assist.
On Saturday, the Thistles were doubled up 4-2 by the Southwest Cougars.
Dryden’s Ben Hackl picked up an assist in that game.
