NOACC Taking Cautious Approach To Federal Tax Plan

The Northwestern Ontario Associated Chambers of Commerce is taking a wait and see approach on a Federal plan to cut the small business tax rate to 9%.

Spokesperson Charla Robinson says business owners are still concerned pending future government announcements.

Robinson adds the Association is also wondering if the promise to simplify the proposed changes to income splitting is actually for real.

She says business owners want to see all of the details of the government tax plan.

Robinson wonders if the reduction will offset the other tax changes the government has in mind.
