Not the start the Minnesota Wilderness were looking for at the Dudley Hewitt Cup.
The SIJHL champions dropped their opener, 4-1 yesterday against the host North Bay Trappers.
Rookie Jake Larson was the only one who could beat Greg Dodds, who made 49-saves, including 24 in the final period.
In the other game, the Soo Thunderbirds fell 4-2 against St. Michaels.
Minnesota faces the Soo Thunderbirds at 1:30 this afternoon.
