William Craig

William Craig was born on May 17, 1947, he sadly passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2011 after a short battle with cancer, it is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we say good- bye to Bill.

Born in Walkerton, ON, Bill was the eldest child born to Ted and Ida Craig. Bill grew up in Fergus and Elora ON. In 1967 Bill married his first wife Elaine, and together they had three beautiful children, Dean, Barb and Randy.

Bill worked for Borg Textiles in Elmira ON. Bill also drove for Riemer Express lines for 9 yrs which is where he met his second wife Kathy, and their beautiful children; Mike, Angel, Crystal.

Bill moved to the Dryden area in 1984, where he worked in the bush hauling wood, floating machines and building roads in Sioux-Lookout. For the last 8 yrs bill has hauled for Ricci Trucking hauling wood chips and working with wonderful people.

Bill’s love for his family will be missed, his inspiring words and his mechanical know-how will be forever remembered in our hearts.

Bill’s (Man-Cave) was the great outdoors, camping at Amesdale, fishing, and hunting were just a few of his many passions. Anyone who knew Bill, and even if you didn’t, you would receive a lesson in Astronomy, whether you understood it or not!!! On a clear night at work, home or camp you would fine him “star gazing” Bill’s passion for music could keep you rock’ in!

Bill will be sadly missed and forever in our hearts, As per Bill’s request” If you ever need to talk, just look up”.

Bill was pre-deceased by: his parents Ted and Ida Craig, grandparents: George and Ella Craig, Eva and George Dickieson, aunts: Pat and Leona, uncles: Roy, Arthur, George, and Charlie.

Bill is survived by his wife Kathy, his children: Dean (Kris) Barb (Carl) and Randy ( Laura) all from Orangeville, ON. Mike (Jess) of Fort St. John, BC. Angel (Mike) of Thunder Bay ON, and Crystal, mother-in-law Ellen Premack, father-in-law Jerry Premack (DarIa) of Wabigoon, ON, 17 grandchildren. Siblings: Ted (Brenda) Jim (Karen) and Muriel of Orangeville ON, Bonnie (Bob) of London ON, Ida and Hazel of Winnipeg, MB., uncle Richard (Faye) of London, ON, aunts: Etta and June., as well as many nieces and nephews.
