William (Rick) Huckell, age 62, passed away on February 5, 2007 in Dryden. Rick was born in Dryden, ON on March 24, 1944 to William and Marjorie. In 1968 he married Audrey Ross and together they made their home in Dinorwic. Rick was a perfectionist at anything and everything that he did. He, along with his father and then his wife, built up a very successful contracting business starting years ago in the bush slashing, loading, and hauling wood. Getting out of the wood industry, he took great pride in installing septic fields, landscaping, hauling gravel, and his last task was grading roads. He enjoyed operating and the maintenance of his machinery. He was his happiest when he was behind the controls of a machine. He enjoyed working, fishing, hunting, camping, playing cards, and spending time with his “buddies”, but got the greatest pleasure out of spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters. Rick was predeceased by his first wife Betty, infant daughter Roxanne, and his parents William and Marjorie. He is survived by his wife Audrey, daughter Kelly (Gordie) Wright, son Terry (Erin), two granddaughters Jacey Wright and Anesa Huckell, sister Lynn (Barry) Young, brother Jim (Joan), and two nieces. Visitation for the late Rick Huckell will be held at the Dryden Community Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 from 6-8p.m. Funeral Services for the late Rick Huckell will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2007 at 1:00 at the Dryden Community Funeral Home in Dryden with Pastor Harry Toews officiating.
