A contest has been introduced to attract new business to Dryden’s downtown core while helping to fill vacant storefronts.
The “WIN THIS SPACE”-Dryden initiative is the brainchild of the Chamber of Commerce, the City and Patricia Area Community Endeavours.
Dryden District Chamber of Commerce Manager Lorna Wood and Dryden District Chamber of Commerce Chair Michelle Price were guests on the CKDR Morning Show Wednesday to launch the campaign.
Wood says that starting on July 1st, you can submit your idea for a new business in 250 words or less or a short two to three minute video.
The contest ends July 31st.
Price says the winner will receive their first year of rent in monthly payments to a maximum of $1,000 per month, plus in-kind professional service sponsorships.
She says the contest is a great way to start a new business and promote what Dryden has to offer.
