It will be at least another month until the newly
installed wind turbines at the Kenora Fire Management
Headquarters will be running.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Cleanfield Energy
recently installed the five vertical axis wind turbines.
MNR Spokesperson Terry Ruska says the turbines are
expected to supply more than 30 percent of the power used
by the facility.

The turbines consist of three 3 metre tall vertical
blades that rotate around a center axis.
