The victim of Wednesday’s four vehicle collision on Highway 17, east of Kenora has been identified.
OPP say 45-year-old Amir Mohammadi of Winnipeg died when his eastbound transport struck a westbound semi.
The westbound transport had jackknifed across the Highway near Dogtooth Lake.
Another westbound tractor-trailer and an eastbound passenger vehicle were involved when they could not avoid the collision ahead of them.
There were no other injuries and slippery road conditions were a factor in the crash.
The collision forced the closure of the Trans-Canada Highway for roughly 11-hours.
