A Winnipeg resident has done his part to help raise funds and awareness of an all-weather road to Shoal Lake #40.
Rick Harp has met his target of 1,000 pledges.
In all, just over $100,000 has been raised for the Freedom Road.
The target for the crowdfunding campaign is the $10-million Harp says Ottawa is unwilling to provide for the project.
The federal government, the province of Manitoba and the City of Winnipeg have all pledged $1-million each to begin design work on the all-purpose road.
