Winter Creativity In LOTW

Local and International adventurers Jacki and Derek have spent a good part of their time together traveling the World, helping inspire others to do the same. Creating the Roving Route – they’ve made a great travel website with tips and tricks to international travel.

However, since the pandemic – these two have decided to focus on adventures in their own backyard with a crafty, creative project on Lake of the Woods.

Introducing… the snow maze!

Built on the ice and from snow that has fallen, the maze is 55ft by 45ft with a ‘phase two’ currently in progress. Those interested in checking it out for themselves are encouraged to share photos in their Facebook Group – Lake of the Woods Snow Maze.

It is for use at your own risk, and they ask you to respect the maze and surrounding properties.

For those interested in the exact location, click here.

You can enter the ice road from Robertson St at the MNR Landing.
