March Break has started off with another blast of winter in Northwestern Ontario.
Environment Canada says a winter storm which moved into the region overnight is expected to dump up to 20 centimetres of snow in most of Sunset Country with lesser amounts in the Red Lake area.
The snow is expected to taper off by tonight.
Meantime, the Ministry of Transportation will be busy plowing and sanding the roads today.
MTO says Highway 17 through the region is generally snow packed with centre bare sections while most secondary highways are snow packed.
Visibility is fair to poor in blowing and drifting snow.
For more information call the MTO road conditions line at 1-800-465-5032.
