Animal experts say a lone ragged-looking wolf that terrorized
Marathon for two weeks was not a typical wolf.
Ministry of Natural Resources biologist Brad Allison says it’s
unusual for wolves to go after small animals like little dogs.
Marathon police say the animal is believed to have killed at
least two town dogs and chased a jogger.
The wolf, apparently an older animal that had been shunned by its pack, was killed Wednesday afternoon after being spotted by a provincial game warden.
