History has been made in Sunset Country.
For the first time in the Province, a Wolverine has been captured, radio-collared and released in the bush between Ear Falls and Red Lake.
The 9KG female was caught Sunday near Red Lake, believed to be the most easternly home of Wolverine in North America.
Dr. Audrey Magoun is the Boreal Wolverine Project Leader and says the will monitor the animal as long as possible.
Magoun hopes the animal will help them identify how many Wolverines there are in the Red Lake area.
