Work to have a rubberized track installed at Dryden High School is well underway.
Mike Wood is spearheading the ‘Eagles on Track’ initiative and says essentially it’s like building a 400 meter road.
First they have to dig it out, then back fill it with gravel, pave it and spray it with rubber so it doesn’t deteriorate and it should last about 20-years.
Wood says the major hurdle is fixing drainage issues at Harry McMaster Field.
He’s launched a fundraising drive and it will take 150-thousand dollars to make it a reality this year.
