Work Underway To Create Local Health Hub

Health care providers are coming together in Dryden.
Work is underway to form the Dryden and Area Local Health Hub.
Dryden Regional Health Centre Wade Petranik says the directive to form the hub came down from the Northwest Local Health Integration Network.
Petranik notes it’s getting more and more challenging to access resources so it’s important to share services and avoid duplication.
Petranik says they received no new funding to create the hub so they will have to rely on the strengths of individual groups.
The Hospital Board has approved a Terms of Reference for the Steering Committee and now the group will look at priority areas.
