Young Eagles Squad Turns Heads In Kenora

Surprising results for the Dryden Eagles High School football team in an exhibition series in Kenora yesterday.
The young squad battled the Beaver Brae Broncos, Fort Frances Muskies and Winnipeg’s Grant Park.
Coach Geoff Zilklans says it was a great experience.
Zilklans says the coaching staff will have to change expectations as his squad did better than expected.
He stresses the grade 9 players were impressive and notes the coaching staff will be setting new goals for the squad following the series.
The first game of the year for Dryden is next Friday in Winnipeg.
